about SoSimpatico

SoSimpatico is a new cultural consultancy & production company, built on the proven expertise of creative producer Aoife Woodlock and entrepreneur Tom Clinch. Creative producer Karen Walshe joined the management team in 2024.

We produce a range of cultural projects, develop cultural spaces and manage creative artists. We also directly invest in creative ventures and support cultural philanthropy.

We are an Irish producer with aglobal network. We have a deep understanding of music, spoken word, theatre, visual art, broadcast and festivals. The renowned SoSimpatico team produces creative projects that are authentic, distinctive and artisticallyexceptional. In our first year, we collaborated with the British Council, RTÉ Radio 1, RTÉ TV, PBS America, Intercom, THISISPOPBABY, Research Ireland, Royal Irish Academy of Music, Trinity College Dublin, Culture Ireland, and the Department of Foreign Affairs.

From intimate live events for private clients to national cultural festivals and American public broadcasts, SoSimpatico has the experience, reputation and artist network to deliver bespoke events for you, anywhere in the world.

As specialists in the development of cultural spaces, SoSimpatico provides comprehensive solutions for property companies seeking to integrate community, arts, and cultural infrastructure into their developments working closely with Dublin City Council.

  • Aoife Woodlock

    Aoife Woodlock

    Managing Director and Co-Founder 

    Aoife is the co-founder and Managing Director of SoSimpatico. With a lifelong career in the arts, culture, and live music, she is an experienced curator and creative producer with a passion for music, bespoke live events, and broadcasting.

    Renowned for her ability to discover and champion emerging talent, Aoife thrives on the creative process of transforming artistic ideas into memorable live experiences. She spent a decade shaping the Temple Bar Music Centre in Dublin before moving on to work with a diverse range of independent artists and organisations. Among her projects, she contributed extensively to the acclaimed Other Voices music series. As the music producer for the series she worked across the BBC/RTE Amy Winehouse doc – ‘The Day She Came to Dingle’ and the Royal Albert Hall ‘Ceilúradh’, celebrating Irish culture for the Irish president's visit to the UK.  Aoife also manages composer Colm Mac Con Iomaire.

    In addition to her work in the arts, she supports the Matt Talbot Community Trust, alongside their ambassador Jessie Buckley, and Narrative 4, a global empathy-building organisation led by Colum McCann and Lisa Consiglio. Her involvement in both initiatives reflects a deep belief in the transformative power of education and empathy.

    In 2023, Aoife co-founded SoSimpatico with Tom Clinch.

  • Karen Walshe

    Karen Walshe

    Director of Cultural Development

    Karen has over 20 years’ experience as a cultural producer with Ireland’s foremost arts organisations, leading large-scale cultural, artistic and community-driven projects with a focus on creativity, innovative production and event management.

    Karen started her career in the Temple Bar Music Centre and co-founded the Dublin Electronic Arts Festival – DEAF. She was the Head of Events at Real Nation (2014-2016) and produced the opening event of the National Gallery of Ireland’s new wing in 2017. Karen was Artistic Director of Dublin’s globally renowned St Patrick’s Festival from 2016-2023 expanding it from a parade to a cross-city and multi-disciplinary cultural festival.   

    As Director of Cultural Development at SoSimpatico, Karen brings together the worlds of property development, finance and the arts, fostering innovative collaborations and creating sustainable cultural infrastructure for Ireland’s urban communities. She also produces ground-breaking creative projects especially in the visual arts.

  • Tom Clinch

    Tom Clinch

    Director and Co-Founder 

    Tom is managing director of CLINCH which is Ireland’s leading privately-owned wealth manager. We manage over €600M for Ireland’s leading creatives, professionals and entrepreneurs. CLINCH is committed to cultural philanthropy, diversity and social impact. Our partnerships include James Joyce’s The Dead by Anú Productions and Landmark Theatre, the Wigmore Series at RIAM, and Irish Language Day at the Fastnet Film Festival.     

    Tom co-founded SoSimpatico with Aoife Woodlock to fulfil a lifelong passion for promoting the Arts. On leaving Trinity in 1990, he worked as an actor, theatre producer and produced international music documentaries. Tom is on the board of the Dublin Theatre Festival, is treasurer of the United Arts Club and a regular speaker on cultural philanthropy.
