Colm Mac Con Iomaire

Colm Mac Con Iomaire is a highly acclaimed Irish composer and multi-instrumentalist, renowned for his deeply expressive work influenced by the natural world, his native Irish language and homeland. His diverse body of work spans film scores, theatre productions, dance performances, and three critically celebrated solo albums. A prolific collaborator, Colm has toured internationally, continually blending traditional and contemporary styles in his compositions. Raised in a musically rich household—his father a renowned broadcaster, song collector and Sean Nós singer and his mother a talented pianist—his work is a reflection of his cultural heritage and artistic upbringing.

Best known as a founding member of the traditional band Kíla and the influential rock group The Frames, Colm has contributed his violin to both bands, shaping their distinct sound. The Frames have recorded and toured across eight albums, celebrating their 30th anniversary with a remarkable 25,000-sellout performance in Ireland.

Colm's solo career began in 2008 with the release of The Hare's Corner (Cúinne an Ghiorria), a record that drew comparisons to the works of Michael Nyman and Arvo Pärt, with music writer Peter Murphy noting echoes of Seán Ó Riada. This was followed in 2015 by And Now The Weather (Agus Anois An Aimsir) of which the Irish Times’ Brian Keane wrote  ‘these 10 gorgeous, pocket sized instrumentals come from a classically trained head, a transient folk soul and an indomitable traditional heart.’ and of 2019’s The River Holds Its Breath (Tost ar an Abhainn) Tony Clayton-Lea wrote - ‘without any apparent fuss, Mac Con Iomaire just piles one beauty on top of another’.

Colm Mac Con Iomaire continues to push the boundaries of his craft, forging a unique, evocative sound that resonates across genres and generations.

Eamonn Doyle

Eamonn studied painting and photography at college, graduating in 1991. He founded the internationally acclaimed D1 Recordings in 1996 and spent much of the next twenty years producing music and working in the independent music business.

He returned to photography in 2008 and his subsequent Dublin trilogy of work (i, ON, End.), formed the centre- piece exhibition at Rencontres d’Arles 2016. Fundación Mapfre Madrid staged the first fully comprehensive exhibition of his work in 2019. More recent bodies of work have taken him to the Atlantic coast of Ireland, the volcanic landscapes of Spain, and Japan.

Eamonn still lives and works where it all began, just off Parnell Street in Dublin, and music continues to feature as a fundamental aspect of his work, particularly with exhibitions and his collaborative film works. In 2024 Eamonn was awarded The David Octavius Hill Medal by The German Photographic Academy. Eamonn is further represented by Michael Hoppen Gallery London
